Professional Legal Representation And A Personal Commitment To Clients

Being an effective lawyer is about more than just knowing the law. A good attorney needs to understand how the law will impact their clients personally and must care enough to seek the right solution for each client and case. That’s the type of representation you can expect when you contact Tigue Law.

My name is Stephanie L. Tigue, founder of the firm and an attorney with more than 15 years of experience. I am dedicated to helping people in Pennsylvania overcome problems related to family law, protection from abuse (PFA), estate planning and criminal defense – areas that require an intimate knowledge of the law, as well as an in-depth understanding of each client’s needs and goals. Regardless of your specific legal matter, you can trust that I will treat you and your case with the attention and care you deserve.

Tenacious Advocacy For Family Law Clients And Their Children

My family law clients are typically experiencing changes to their family structure that involve divorce proceedings, division of marital assets, child custody agreements, and spousal support (alimony) issues. In some cases, domestic violence is an issue, and protection from abuse orders are necessary. I aggressively fight for my clients and ensure that their rights are protected. No matter what your family law needs may be, chances are good that I can help you.

Criminal Defense Work Informed By Prosecutorial Experience

Prior to starting my own practice, I was a prosecutor in the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s office for more than six years. I prosecuted domestic violence cases, PFA contempt matters, theft and fraud cases, drug cases, robberies, burglaries, and other crimes. I also gained experience in a law firm environment researching and litigating unique issues in personal injury cases for two years.

My experience as a former prosecutor has given me a comprehensive understanding of the court system and recognition that substance abuse, mental health issues and other problems warrant rehabilitative measures. I will help my clients address the issues that may fuel such crimes as theft and property crimes, white collar crimes, or even crimes of violence.

Assisting Individuals And Families In Estate Planning And Probate Concerns

Everyone has an estate. Regardless of how large or modest you believe your estate to be, you deserve to decide what happens to it when you pass away. I can help you create a customized estate plan that honors your wishes and reflects your goals. If you’ve recently lost someone you love, I am here to provide guidance and representation in all matters related to probate and estate administration.
